Purple Heart

During the book I sat there and thought about if the character is worthy of praise or criticism. I think the main character Matt should be praised during the book. I think that Matt should be praised because he was someone who had fought in Iraq and was wounded in action. He was set to the hospital after his Sistine injuries to his head where he was unable to remember things that had happen to him and his fellow brothers that were fighting next to him. People that serve in Iraq or Afghanistan I look highly upon because I thank them for keeping our country safe and giving us all this freedom. In the book Matt looks at himself as he kinda let himself down because he lost some of his fellow soldiers and doesn’t remember what happened. Matt remembers waking up and there’s a man standing over him. I thought Matt was praised highly when he revised the Purple Heart for his bravery. Matt didn’t look at himself as a hero but thought that everyone that was in his squad should get the same award as him also. Matt deserved the praise he got from the author and from the readers of the book because it shows that some people can go into war and have no fear about it and wants to get back out into the streets to fight with the men in their units. I praise Matt highly for fighting in the war and I believe that he had earned that award with respect!

Purple Heart

The significance of the title of the book Purple Heart, is that the young man that was awarded the purple heart in the military. The author picked a great title of his book because the book is about a young soldier in Iraq that wines up in the hospital not remembering where he was or why he was there. The author makes the character of his book look like a hero which anyone that went overseas and fought for our country is a hero but really the character is because put his life on the line and was injured and saw his friends get killed. The character was awarded the Purple Heart for his heroic duty while fighting. The award is a highly looked upon award in the Military today and anyone who gets an award like this feels proud of what they did. The author probably was thinking that the soldier in his story showed his Honor and Bravery for putting his life on the line for his country. The title can tell the story of the book. The Purple Heart is an award that is looked highly upon and some men or women feel like they don’t deserve it because the people they died next to should be getting that award. All in all the author picked a great title for his story to show the effect of what the soldier goes through and how they are rewarded for their duties to the country.

Purple Heart

In the story the Purple Heart, Matt the main character of the story has been in the hospital trying to remember everything that has happened to him. He was called into an office on the other end of the building. He tried to walk but he only go so far before he started to get tired. A young boy pushed him across the building to the office of a high up military officer. As he sat there in the office still trying to remember what happened, he started to get a little worried that something bad had happened. The high up officer came into the office and asked him how he was feeling. Matt sat there with the panicked look on his face not know what to say to the officer. He sat there trying to remember what happened that day and the more he thought about it, the more he could remember small pieces of that day. When the office was finished asking him questions Matt returned back to his bed where he laid there trying to learn more about that day. As he ran the story through his head before he went to sleep he remembers a little bit more. Matt would hear stuff during the day where he would think the war was being fought right outside of the building. The nurse would tell him what he was hearing and tell him he need more rest before he could start walking around the hospital building. Matt would lay there thinking and then he remembered the young boy in the street.

Purple Heart

The book the purple heart is about a young man the is in Iraq serving is country. While over there he wakes up in a hospital bed in a place he doesn't know. He asks the doctor what was wrong with him but they couldn't give him a stright answer. He was nervous not knowing what had happened to him, he couldn't remember a thing. Matt layed his head back into his pillow and fell back asleep. Matt woke up to a high ranking army officer standing over him with an award for him. He wasn't sure what it was but then the man pulled it out of the box and it was the purple heart. Matt didn't think he did anything good to be awarded the metal, also he wanted to know what happened to the rest of his squad and all he could do was lay there and rest. This book is really good to read. I have a hard time setting it down. I like this type of book because it relates to me since I plan to join the National Guard. I would recommend this book to anyone.

13 reasons why

The book 13 reasons why has a significant title to it. In the beginning of the book a girl talks about her life and what had happened to her. She explains in tapes on why she had killed herself. There are 13 sides to the tapes where she tells everyone why she did this. The tapes were delivered to a guy that was in her class and as he listened to them he could believe what he was hearing. She tells him that he is one of the reasons why she did what she did and he couldn’t believe it because he didn’t really know her that well. Throughout the book it will explain why she killed herself and what took place with the other people that get the tapes.

Blog Test

The different kinds of reading I have done in the past involves books inculding a sports book about someone or books for example harry potter. Now when I read I try to find ones that involve a war or someone who is in a war and the write about there experince. The reasoning for reading books on war is because I like to learn about our past history in wars and how it changed to now. I like reading different books on the types of weapons they used in WWII to the weapons they use now.
